Gilmore showed her intimate knowledge of her home break defeating Enever with a massive 16.37 (out of 20.00) posting a near perfect 9.20 ride (out of ten) off her final ride.

finishing runner –up to overall winner Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) during the final
of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast in Australia on Sunday March 4, 2012. Enever put on a
determined performance against the local four times ASP World Champion but was
defeated with 14.20 to Gilmore”s 16.37 (both out of 20.00).

Jordy Smith of Durban, South Africa (pictured) placed equal third at the
Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast reaching the semifinals where being defeated by
eventual event winner Taj Burrow (AUS) on Sunday March 4, 2012.Smith put on a
great show, eliminating local favourite Joel Parkinson (AUS) in the
quarterfinals but was narrowly edged out by Burrow 14.20 to 15.56 (both out
20.00).
